Features of 5000 series
1. Can be referred to as aluminum and magnesium alloys. Magnesium content between 3-5%.
2. Non-heat-treatable alloy
3. Low density, high tensile strength and elongation rate. Good corrosion resistance,weldability and cold workability.

5005 aluminum plate
This is a non-heat treatable alloy of aluminum with magnesium content. Cold working will strengthen (harden) the alloy and it is very good in both corrosion resistance and weldability.
Commonly used in the manufacture of appliances, small boats, gas lines, refrigerator panels, and utensils. 5005 is also used in architectural components, and as an electrical conductor. Especially useful where excessive finishing costs are encountered in the use of 3003 alloys due to surface roughness upon drawing.
The machinability is generally poor, especially in the soft temper conditions. However it can be machined, but with more difficulty than many of the aluminum alloys. Machining in the harder tempers, such as H34, H38, is better than in the soft temper condition.
5052 aluminum plate
5052 aluminum plate is mainly used in the request high plasticity and good weldability, working in a liquid or gas medium low load parts, such as tank, gas or oil duct, and other various liquid containers made of deep drawing parts: small load wire used for rivet. Also commonly used in the transportation vehicles, ships, sheet metal parts, instrument, lamps stent and rivet, metal products, electrical enclosure, etc.
Al: allowance; Si: 0.25; Cu: 0.10; Mg: 2.2 ~ 2.8;
zinc: 0.10; Mn: 0.10; Cr: 0.15 ~ 0.35; Fe: 0.4 0.
Tensile strength (σb ):170~305MPa
Conditions to yield strength: σ0.2 (MPa)≥65
Modulus of elasticity: (E) : 69.3 ~ 70.7 Gpa
Annealing temperature: 345 °C.
The surface quality
1, the surface is not allowed to have crack, corrosion spots or nitrate.
2, on the surface, allowing a depth of no more than 8% of the nominal size peeling defect part wall thickness, air bubbles, surface roughness and the local mechanical damage, but the defects cannot be more than 0.5 mm, maximum depth defect sheet with a total area of no more than 5% of the total area.
3, allow the supplier polishing along the longitudinal profiles until the surface is smooth.
4, other requirements: disucssed by both sides.
